Garden Products Supervisor

We are looking for a Garden Products Supervisor who would work towards the position of Manager to join our forward thinking team.

Previous experience within the industry is preferred, however, applicants with a proven management background with a knowledge of core gardening and hard landscaping products will be considered.

The garden products department includes core gardening and hard landscaping products and is a fast paced environment, which requires the successful candidate to be physically fit, as this is a very hands on role, which involves lifting and moving heavy items and be able to work at a fast pace. The ability to liaise professionally with people is essential as this role is a customer facing role. A good knowledge of garden products e.g core gardening, compost, fencing, aggregates, patio kits, pots and containers is essential to the role, as well as the ability to visually merchandise products.

The successful candidate will:

  • Ensure product displays are of a very high standard.
  • Be able to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Be responsible for the financial performance and the operational excellence of your department, including understanding spreadsheets.
  • Ensure that sales revenue targets are achieved and exceeded.
  • Be highly motivating and inspirational for your new team, making sure that you give clear direction and performance management within a culture of mentoring and coaching.
  • Be results driven, with a proven track record in a management position.
  • Have a great eye for detail with excellent housekeeping skills and be a great problem solver.

Ice Rink Assistants

We’re currently looking for Ice Rink Assistants.

You will need to be outgoing and friendly. The position would suit an enthusiastic person with excellent communication and customer service skills who is looking to work in a fast paced environment. The ability to ice skate will be beneficial, as will experience of handling money and working in a family friendly environment.

This is a temporary seasonal position from November 9th 2019 until January 5th 2020, with hours including weekdays, weekends and the school holiday period.

Duties will include assisting with customers on the ice, operating the skate exchange, operating the till, digital booking system and dealing with customer enquiries via telephone and email.
